What is Invisalign treatment?

Invisalign aligners are a clear alternative to braces. The sequential aligners are used to orthodontically move the teeth to a more desirable position.

How does Invisalign treatment work?

Once you and your dentist agree that Invisalign treatment is right for you, your dentist will take photos and impressions of your teeth. These will be used to make a 3D treatment plan which will be used to create your custom-made aligners. This 3D treatment plan will also depict your planned teeth alignment at the end of treatment. Your custom-made aligners will be fabricated and then shipped to your dentist, who will then provide you with a series of aligners. Each aligner will be changed with the next in the series approximately every 1-2 weeks until the desired position for your teeth is attained.

Can Invisalign treatment fix all types of teeth alignment issues?

Invisalign aligners can treat a range of teeth alignment issues. At Harmony Dental, we treat mild to moderate orthodontic concerns. If your case is determined to be complex, we will recommend that you consult a specialist orthodontist for treatment.

How much does Invisalign treatment cost?

The cost of treatment will depend on the complexity of your case, and your level of private health cover for orthodontics. Your dentist will be able to give you a precise cost estimate after completing your 3D ClinCheck® treatment plan.

How long does Invisalign treatment take?

Treatment time will depend on the complexity of your case. As an estimate, a “simple” case with minor straightening can take 3 to 6 months to complete. Moderate to complex cases can often range from 9 to 18 months, and sometimes longer. Your dentist will be able to give you a more precise time estimate after completing your 3D ClinCheck® treatment plan.

This contains all the necessary paperwork for treatment including Smile Plan and Consent Form, as well giving more information such as the detailed FAQs and cost estimate information. Once the paperwork has been completed, we can then book you in for a consultation appointment.
